Heralded by the shrills of excited pre-schoolers up and down the east coast and from the nation’s capital, Justine Clarke will sing and dance her way into children’s gleeful hearts once more, stepping out on her Little Day Out Tour 2011.

Beginning in Brisbane on September 24, the tour travels to Melbourne and Canberra before a grand finale at the iconic Sydney Opera House on October 8.

Through near-hour-long shows, Justine Clarke and her three-piece band bring to life the colourful, fun and engaging songs from her three top-selling, ARIA nominated CDs and accompanying DVDs – I Like To Sing, Songs To Make You Smile and of course the chart-topping Great Big World.

In 2010, Justine’s Great Big World Tour was a huge hit with children and parents alike, delighting audiences across an incredible 52 shows.

“I try to make the show as intimate as possible so it has a relaxed and playful feeling like a family get together and sing-a-long”, Justine says. “It helps having excellent musicians singing and playing live drums, keys and double bass. It’s a happy sight and a beautiful sound. We continue to party on in the foyer after – it’s such a joyful experience meeting the kids after the show.”

With a career beginning at the early age of seven, Justine has become one of Australia’s most highly regarded and popular performers of today.

As an adored long-standing presenter on ABC TV’s Play School – now in her 12th year – Justine Clarke is a cheerful, calming and familiar face in the living rooms and lives of children around Australia.

However her extensive career, reaching far beyond children’s entertainer, includes performances across the mediums of television, film and theatre, as well as numerous musical ventures.

Stand-out TV credits include perhaps most notably, playing Ally in Showcase’s brilliant Australian drama series Tangle (returning soon for a third season), for which Justine won the 2010 ASTRA Award for ‘Most Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor’ and was nominated for the ‘Most Outstanding Actress’ Logie.

While numerous film credits include: Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome, Japanese Story, Blackrock and the critically acclaimed, award winning Look Both Ways, Justine can also be found treading the boards, often in Sydney Theatre Company productions, and following her passion for singing, particularly jazz.

There is no doubt Justine Clarke is a versatile performer, bringing heart and soul to the stage.

The Little Day Out Tour is a family event, a chance for children and parents to join in and share the magic and delight Justine brings to her live shows.
