Justine Clarke Appearing at Queenscliff Music Festival 2011!

The Queenscliff Music Festival organisers have just revealed their best-kept surprise…

Peak-a-boo! It’s JUSTINE CLARKE!

Play School presenter, best-selling children’s singer and acclaimed film, television & stage actressJustine Clarke, joins the already stellar line-up at the 15th Queenscliff Music Festival as a part of their jam packed family friendly, children’s entertainment program.

Performing on the Hippos Stage on Saturday 26 November at 12.15pm, this festival spectacular is sure to get kids, parents and Clarke fans over the rainbow and on cloud nine!

Justine adds to an incredible line up of children and family focused performers. Much of this action takes place at the Kids Quarter, and QMF are also pleased to announce MC Red The Clown, Brett Campbell, Mr Percival, Gee Whiz Kidz, Pete Denahy, The Mudcakes, The Mantelli Five, Marine Discovery Centre beachcomb & craft session, Circus Skills workshops & performances, Rockstar Academy (the quiz show for kids), the launch of WHATEM 2 – Fun & Funky Songs for Big Kids (a new kids album featuring Chris Wilson & Sarah Carroll amongst others), and much much more! Plus, the QMF Family Expresswill have a dedicated kid’s music theme on Sunday 27 with 11am and 12pm departing Steam Trains offering a sure fire way to keep those kiddies on the right track!

Queenscliff Music Festival takes place over the weekend of 25-26-27 November and the organisers have revved up the heat this year showcasing the best inpast, present and future Australian and world music.

New developments for Queenscliff Music Festival in 2011 include for the very first time the introduction of 1000 camping spots as well as an inspiredchange of festival location back to Queenscliff’s original 1996 point overlooking Port Phillip Bay on the pristine green of Princess Park. Also, the long-awaited return of the celebrated Pelican Bar and a name change from Fishnets Stage to Hippos Stage, and Crossing Stage to The Rip Stage, sees QMF further expand and fine tune the festival hub with a nod to coastal surf culture and our favourite local surf breaks.

KEY FACTS:

· Over 100 acts giving over 150 performances across 5 stages in the Princess Park festival precinct as well as on the “QMF Family Express” historic steam train and music stages in the towns‟ unique and beautiful venues – the Queenscliff Inn, Vue Grand and Lombardys on Hesse.

· For those living on the Mornington Peninsula the revamped Sorrento-Queenscliff Ferry is offering festival goer’s a great deal via the festival website, purchase a return car trip and you and all your passengers ride for free.

· Single Session Tickets! The Friday Night session ticket is $50 (incl B/F), Sunday is just $65 (incl B/F), and All Saturday ticket is $99 (incl B/F)! Saturday Night (after 6pm) is also available for $55 (incl B/F).
